Fluids:
Fluids is responsible for delivering propellants to the engine at the required mass flows, pressures, and temperatures.
Engine:
Engine is responsible for Havoc 1 for MK1 and Havoc 2 for MK2, respectively - as well as all the hardware that goes into the engine assembly.
Thrust Vector Control (TVC):
Thrust Vector Control (TVC) designs, manufactures, and tests the gimbaling system for Halcyon and its engine. This gimbaling system utilizes linear actuators and a complex ring system to move the engine in two axes, serving as the primary control system on the rocket.
Pressure Vessels:
Airframe:
Recovery:
The recovery team is ultimately responsible for making sure Halcyon falls to the ground at a slow, safe speed so the vehicle may be recovered. To this end, we are responsible for designing a system to separate the nosecone and deploy the drogue and main parachutes at the right time.
Avionics:
To design, manufacture, and integrate every electrical component, from power converters to wire harnesses to RF systems.
Flight Software:
Flight Software is the team primarily responsible for writing code for the flight computers that will sit on the rocket. Our team handles sending and receiving telemetry, managing the state machine of the rocket, and controlling the actuator, valves, radios, and more for everything else that sits on the rocket
Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC):
Responsible for designing and verifying navigation and control algorithms to ensure rocket stability throughout the trajectory.
Engine Test Stand:
Responsible for testing the engine, engine igniter, and engine injector to ensure proper functionality.
Vehicle Test Stand:
Supports day-to-day logistics, launch site, and FAA correspondence.
Component Test:
Composed of the Hydrocart, Development Test, and Water-flow teams. Responsible for testing of critical components to rocket success via pressurization.
GSW:
Developing a common platform for test stand operation and vehicle launch

Finance:
Finance is responsible for budgeting our financial resources across TREL based on the lab’s needs and goals. Finance also manages internal accounting and procurement for the entire lab.Marketing and Communications:
Marketing and Communications is responsible for providing updated information regarding what TREL is currently working on. We maintain the website, social media, and are in charge of our monthly newsletter.Corporate Development:

Lox Main Valve:
The Skunkworks LOX Valve Team is working on upgrading the main liquid oxygen valve for future iterations of Halcyon. We are designing, building, and testing a new valve that will improve efficiency and reduce weight and cost.
